Day 10
Today was Wuhan City tour and we had to meet at 8.10am AGAIN, but this time its outside our hostel so we didn’t have to rush like a mad dog. HEH! We were all punctual and waited till 8.30am for the bus to arrive at the back gate. Okay, shall let the pictures do the talking.
First stop, Yellow Crane Tower, also known as黄鹤楼.
Lunch at some 5 star hotel, and the food was kinda nice! :)
Next stop, Lute Platform, also known as 古琴台.
We were supposed to go to the Jiang Han Lu Shopping Mall, but the bus dropped us off somewhere “nearby” at a public history park I think? We took some pictures and headed back to the coach.
We came back in the evening, but I stayed in the hostel alone while the rest went out for KFC! -.- All thanks to my bad cough and sore throat, I haven’t been able to eat fried stuffs for 2 weeks already! Didn’t want myself to get tempted and make the rest keep thinking of what I can eat, so I’d rather stay in the hostel and watch movies. Went down to back street to get dinner, and met Wu Di. He mentioned he had to learn an English story ad speak for at least 2 to 3 mins, and I promised to teach him since day 2. We searched for short stories and chose The Three Little Pigs. HAHAHAHA! I figured it’ll be easier for him to memorize, and so I copied and tried to reduce the words. For the first time I felt like a good English teacher. LOL!
Reflection:
Though I dislike excursions, but the Wuhan City tour wasn’t that bad as the weather was just like staying in the aircon room (not freezer like the previous week!). At least I got to know more about China’s historic legends and histories. The trip was rather educational, me likey! :D
On a side note, i observed that the way and pace of living is quite different from Singaporeans. i'm not too sure about the working adults' lives, but their pace of living really depends on the state or city itself as i was told that on the average, everyone would most likely be doing his/her current job for the rest of their lives. so this is already a difference as singaporeans tend to change their job every 2 or 3 years.
