Day 6
As usual, lesson was at 9 and everyone was on time for class. But Ms Neo let us off early to practice and rehearse for the interaction party with the local students at night. It was really so last minute that most of us were worried that the performance wouldn’t turn up well, ‘cause we didn’t have much time to practice. We headed out for quick lunch and went back in our groups to rehearse and make final preparations.
Finally, it was 7pm and we assembled in a lecture hall with lots of China students. I had that weird but welcoming feeling immediately when we entered the lecture hall. HEH! Having mixed feelings sucked when we were nervous and sort of unprepared for the performance. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the day of the interaction party was pushed forward 1 day. -.- In other words, we only had 1 day or should I say less than a day to prepare by the time we know about the last minute change. Irritating right?! Argh! Well well, but everything turned out fine and everyone said we did very well. Lol! :D
we performed a skit on Singapore's history, from Sang Nila Utama to Samford Raffles, etc. HAHA!
a group photo with my project members.
and of course, another with my clique!
Reflection:
We all thought that the PRCs were only allowed to have 1 child or they will have to pay a fine as the population of China is too big and the government had to control the birth rate. But I was told that in some provenience, if the husband and wife do not have any siblings, they're allowed to have more than one child. Same goes to the people from the minorities, as they do not have enough of that race I reckon.
