Day 25
WuDang Mountain, here I come! HAHAHA!our mission: to get up to the Golden Summit, 4.5 km! go Jean go!!!
just the beginning, way to go!
almost there... i kept telling myself to hang on and preserve!
we went up empty handed and already have trouble climbing up, and i see some locals carying not one, but a carton of mineral water!
as we were reaching the summit, i decided to try the 'sedan chair' that mum encouraged me to get that experience if it wasn't too expensive. it was only 50rmb, but it was quite scary the moment they lift the chair up. nice experience though! :D
FINALLY! a group photo with those who came up first! :D
we got some lock for blessing for wealth and locked it as high as possible!
we lingered at the summit fro about an hour and went down slowly. see how steep steps are?
Mei Xiu, Yan Ting and I were the first few to reach the Golden Summit! Cheers! :D
our last flight of stairs before we return to our rooms!
congrats to myself!! i survived till the Golden Summit! WOOHOO!!!! :D
then we're n our way back to our HOSTEL!!!!
reflection:
If i go back to Singapore and someone ask me about Wudang Shan, i'm only going to tell her "steps, steps, steps, and MORE STEPS!" HAHAHA!
on my way up, i see many different people, all having the same motive; getting up to the Golden Summit. from small kids, to teenagers like us, to parents carrying their child, and to old lady at the age of 80! i even saw a man carrying 2 cartons of mineral water up and sell them for 5rmb (it usually costs less than 2rmb) , and i really give my repect to them. before this trip to Wudang, i used to think they overprice the drink but now that i witness the process of them geting the water all the way up, i think they should sell it at 8rmb or more!
